This is the engineer bag petite, created in collaboration with Good Postage, a stationery shop based in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA.
The engineer bag is a piece that embodies The Superior Labor’s approach to craftsmanship, and is something we consider to be our “beginning.”
The body is made from No.4 Japanese canvas, paired with metal fittings produced by a foundry in downtown Tokyo. The leather is domestically sourced vegetable-tanned leather, tanned using tannin extracted from mimosa bark.
Every step of the process—from sewing and painting to washing and final assembly—is carried out carefully by hand.
For this model, we took inspiration from the name “Good Postage” and created a design based on the idea of an airmail letter.
It is meant to feel like a letter sent from two “craft republics”—The Superior Labor and Good Postage.
From a small workshop in Japan to North Carolina, and beyond—
we hope this bag becomes something that carries the stories and memories of those who use it.

Leather Products
- We use natural leather. While we avoid pieces with damage that could cause tearing, natural marks, wrinkles, and other characteristics are part of the leather’s charm and may be present on the product. Even within the same type of leather, color, thickness, and texture may vary.

Canvas Products
- Painted areas may be affected by friction or water, which can cause color transfer. Please handle with care.
Brass Products
- Due to the nature of brass, some areas may appear slightly tarnished during manufacturing.
- We use solid brass, which develops a natural patina over time. Please enjoy this aging process as part of the product’s character.
- If you wish to remove tarnish, you can use a silver polishing cloth. Always test first on a small, inconspicuous area.
